Well I heard mister Young sing about her
Well, I heard ole Neil put her down
Well, I hope Neil Young will remember
A Southern man don't need him around anyhow
song
Well, I have no idea what they are driving at and why they are not fond of him, but I know that this guy is great. I found him on youtube as well.
Neil Young's voice is incredible. When I heard it for the first time I got totally paralyzed. His performance starts innocently - he's casually preparing for it and making some witty remarks only to blow off the audience with his strong and clear falsetto tenor.
I hope you will share my impressions. :-)
Here's Don't let it bring you down:
Old man lying by the side of the road With the lorries rolling by, Blue moon sinking from the weight of the load And the building scrape the sky, Cold wind ripping down the allay at dawn And the morning paper flies, Dead man lying by the side of the road With the daylight in his eyes.
Don't let it bring you down It's only castles burning, Find someone who's turning And you will come around.
Blind man running through the light of the night With an answer in his hand, Come on down to the river of sight And you can really understand, Red lights flashing through the window in the rain, Can you hear the sirens moan? White cane lying in a gutter in the lane, If you're walking home alone. Don't let it bring you down It's only castles burning, Just find someone who's turning And you will come around.
Don't let it bring you down It's only castles burning, Just find someone who's turning And you will come around.
And here's Heart of Gold:
I want to live, I want to give I've been a miner for a heart of gold. It's these expressions I never give That keep me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. Keeps me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. I've been to Hollywood I've been to Redwood I crossed the ocean for a heart of gold I've been in my mind, it's such a fine line That keeps me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. Keeps me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old.
Keep me searching for a heart of gold You keep me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. I've been a miner for a heart of gold.
ENJOY :-)
