"From the dawn of the history, dawn comes after night"

... I said when I came out from the club at 5 and saw it's already bright :D heh.

Anyways, wish you all good luck at our examz and yy hope that some of you will join me in discovering this worldly truth mentioned above ;p

To brighten up your with a dreamy vision, look at this and enjoy. This time it's more contemporary in order to gain AT LEAST some approval...:

What I love the most is the stanza "shock my like an electric eel" :D

Neil Young

Yesterday I was combing through youtube for oldies that I had a pleasure to listen to (live ;-P ) on my holidays this weekend. I found Sweet home Alabama and checked the lyrics. One stanza was about a guy, Neil Young:

Well I heard mister Young sing about her
Well, I heard ole Neil put her down

Well, I hope Neil Young will remember

A Southern man don't need him around anyhow

song
Well, I have no idea what they are driving at and why they are not fond of him, but I know that this guy is great. I found him on youtube as well.

Neil Young's voice is incredible. When I heard it for the first time I got totally paralyzed. His performance starts innocently - he's casually preparing for it and making some witty remarks only to blow off the audience with his strong and clear falsetto tenor.

I hope you will share my impressions. :-)

Here's Don't let it bring you down:

Old man lying by the side of the road With the lorries rolling by, Blue moon sinking from the weight of the load And the building scrape the sky, Cold wind ripping down the allay at dawn And the morning paper flies, Dead man lying by the side of the road With the daylight in his eyes.

Don't let it bring you down It's only castles burning, Find someone who's turning And you will come around.

Blind man running through the light of the night With an answer in his hand, Come on down to the river of sight And you can really understand, Red lights flashing through the window in the rain, Can you hear the sirens moan? White cane lying in a gutter in the lane, If you're walking home alone. Don't let it bring you down It's only castles burning, Just find someone who's turning And you will come around.

Don't let it bring you down It's only castles burning, Just find someone who's turning And you will come around.

And here's Heart of Gold:

I want to live, I want to give I've been a miner for a heart of gold. It's these expressions I never give That keep me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. Keeps me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. I've been to Hollywood I've been to Redwood I crossed the ocean for a heart of gold I've been in my mind, it's such a fine line That keeps me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. Keeps me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old.
Keep me searching for a heart of gold You keep me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. I've been a miner for a heart of gold.

ENJOY :-)

Jonathan Carroll

To be frank, I cannot really come up with a, so called, authority that would impress me so much that I would be compelled to put a line about one. If so, I would perhaps mention SuperNiania, Anthea Turner, and (OK, here I'm really joking) Martha Steward worth watching. ;P
Instead, I have decided to mention one of the writers that has apparently impressed me very much.

The one that has particularly stuck in my mind is Jonathan Carroll.

The world depicted in his novels is seemingly real. Some critics have accuratelly labelled his style as a magic realism. But his work is generally put in a drawer of fantasy and science-fiction.
The protagonists are average people. However, as the plots unfold, the stories entail more and more mysterious and magical dimensions with people coming from the beyond and animals using human speech. The plots are very well constructed and go like a spiral - they start casually only to proceed with a tightening of the action. Usually, the climax is so pervading that one sinks into the mysteriousness of the situation and marvels at the ingenuity of the author.

You would not believe it but I can only dimly recall what each of the Carroll's novels are about. All of them are so unpredictable and the changes of action are so astonishing that they are beyond my scope of memory retention. ;) That is why, one can read his stories over and over again (of course at some intervals ;)) and be suprised by their resolution.

What I have noticed is that he introduces in each of his books a character of a white bull terrier. I have heard that he owns one and is particularly fond of this race. :)

Here is a few of his books that I have had a pleasure to inhale: ;D

1. The Land of Laugh

2. A Child Across the Sky

3. Kissing the Beehive

4. The Marriage of Sticks

5. Black Coctail

I eagerly recommend Carroll's literary works. :)

5-year-old giant step... or maybe 8-year-old?

Well, all I can think of as the most probable is the fact that in 5 years I'm going to be a mother with a 8 years' experience :D
My daughter will be probably in 3rd grade (because the new law will have been already implemented;) ). Hopefully, she has her DNA after me; if not, the school will have serious problems and I'll act as the mom below... :P

As for me, I just have a hunch that I'll end up as a primary school teacher but shhhh...;)
At least, it will be a stage of my career, but at most 10 years ;P

What I really would like to put in life is the move to some other place, with vast meadows and moors... but shhhh...;)

spring in the air...

Can you feel the fresh air?

Today's gusty wind has blown away the last shreds of winter, bringing brisk air of spring. Hopefully, the unexpected and unwelcomed bank of snow won't return. Now, the willows are covering in meek catkins and various species of flowers are sprouting and growing...:-)

All of these pictures have been taken in my garden.
Let's contemplate....

First left-handed ;p

Ok, I've got to clarify something.
In fact, Obama might be even the 6th African American President of the USA.
But the first one that is explicitly accepted by the nation to be African American. :)
And the first left-handed one ;p

Check this out:

The DREAM has come true.

Barack Obama, the new President Elect. I believe that many restless souls have finally found peace in the beyond; those that for so many decades struggled for racial equality. After only 46 years, at the same place, the history reverses. Now, the African American that is the centre of attention in Washington D. C. "is not judged by the color of [his] skin but by the content of [his] character".

I am truely proud of the American people that they have chosen Obama. I am convinced that he will indeed bring some wind of change to this country; the more peaceful one. The attention will be finally drawn to the society and catering for their needs, whereas the oppressive political expansion overseas will come to an end. I reckon this change of political direction into domestic matters will be of benefit to the USA.

As I perceive him as an empathic, caring, and honest person, I do believe in Obama's promises. I believe in the "CHANGE" and I am waiting for it in anticipation.
